Hello and welcome....
My name is Jim. I have been cutting and polishing gemstones since 1978. When I got a small lapidary machine from my parents. A hobby quickly became an obsession.
As I got older I learned gemology and metallurgy. I have been making rings and pendants since 1992 and have recently started wire wrapping. From casting the metal to finished product, I only use the finest silver and gold.I have even mined my own gemstones.
I started selling my jewelry at flea markets and gem shows. When I started using a computer I sold on eBay and did quite well with great feedback from my customers. Now I am selling out of my online store. Most of the rings and pendants that are sold, I make. The others I purchase through bankruptcy and liquidation auctions.
I have been asked how I can sell so cheap, or are my products cheaply made? The answer is quite simple. I have very low over head costs. I have no employees, it's just me and my wife. I have very little expenses. Since my costs are so low, I don't have to jack up my prices.
I learned that the mainstream jewelry store increases their price by 300%-500% their actual cost and I think that's insane. Sure, they find buyers but some of their items sit on their shelves for years. I want to sell my items and get new items to sell.
